ASUS X507U Review

This machine is powered by an Intel Core i3 processor for a decent performance. It is just good for midrange usage. Also, it is quite good for almost every department. The thing we loved about the display is lesser bezel screen.

ASUS X507UA Build and Design

It is made up of high-quality plastic and has a very good finishing. The hinges on this laptop are solid in any state of angle. The bezels are less from left and right on the same plane, they are border from top and bottom. We can consider it to be a slightly better form factor than the standard laptops.

We have used the laptop for over 15 days and found it steady. We used this as our primary laptop by replacing the Acer’s Aspire 5 for all-day usage. It is lightweight, good construction quality. You won’t say its premium or something not it is bad or something. It has the mix of both.

Asus is presenting it as a NanoEdge Display which has an 8.1mm of bezels. In terms of display performance, it has a 97% sRGB coverage. You might feel some fade from side views. It is surely a great laptop for movies and entertainment. The matte design will make you feel awesome in all aspects.

This Vivobook X507 has various ports such as 2 USB 2.0 ports and 1 USB 3.0 port. There is an HDMI port if you are considering external monitor but with only 1920×1080 resolution. Hello to photographers there is a microSD slot on the left of the machine.

Here is a tip, If you are connecting the SSD or HDD then connect it in 3.0 port only. Rest 2.0 works fine.

Let’s talk about Keyboard and TouchPad:

Asus VivoBook X507UA ReviewThe Asus VivoBook X507UA has good response keyboard with a pretty good touchpad. However, there is an external mouse is suggested. You won’t feel any issues with the keyboard or touchpad. The point is numpad, we didn’t like that even ASUS could have removed this numpad from the keyboard.

The functions, the response and overall experience with the laptop are great enough for this price segment. The texture on the keys is decent and makes you feel premium, the only thing that was lagging is backlit, there are no lights under the keys. But it is still good for the budget.

The buttons on the touchpad are good and clicky. We found fingerprint is quite effective too in certain situations. It almost works 7 out of 10 without any issues.

The combo of these both is totally awesome. You will get used to it after some time. The good thing is price and value, that’s great.

ASUS X507UA Performance:

Let’s look inside the laptop, we have an Intel Core i3 6th generation processor with a 2.0GHz clocked setup. It has a 4GB onboard RAM and can be expanded to 8GB without any issue. It has got 1TB HDD and if you want to add SSD you can add an SSD upto 256GB. It has integrated graphics which do help a lot in processing.

While using the laptop you may feel issues with heavy graphics apps. There are almost no hiccups in the laptop’s performance. Also, remember this is not a gaming laptop so forget the high frame rate gaming with this machine. Yes, it can give you all editing experience with Adobe’s softwares. Lightroom, Photoshop CC and other softwares work pretty well on this machine during our usage.

ASUS VivoBook X507UA Review Battery:

It runs around 3 hours on single charge. It has a 3-cell 33watt-hour battery. If you use the laptop on 50% brightness on the battery you will get around 5 hours of backup and that’s awesome.

If you stay in the room or indoor you can even get around 6.30 hours of backup with 20-25% of brightness. The battery is standard and it’s great at this cost.
