OnePlus just started rolling out OxygenOS 5.1.4 Update for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. In this update, there is a new feature ‘Sleep Standby optimization’ to improve battery life on OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T, they were launched last year. This feature will work according to the usage of the user.

This feature actually turns off the network when there is no activity in the phone. It helps in power saving. Also, there is a new security patch for security updates. Oneplus officials said about OxygenOS 5.1.4 Update that; “The phone will automatically cancel any network restrictions and get the phone out of Sleep Standby just before you wake up so that you won’t miss any notifications such as news updates, emails etc,”
How to enable Sleep Standby Optimisation?
After you’ve successfully updated the OxygenOS 5.1.4 update on your OnePlus 5 or OnePlus 5T. You want to go to Settings > Battery > Battery optimization and then selecting Advanced optimization from those three dots from the right top corner.
Also, they have added a group messaging feature, fixed all of the gallery bugs and there are other minor fixes in this OxygenOS 5.1.4 Update.
You can just check the availability of the OxygenOS 5.1.4 update on your OnePlus 5 or OnePlus 5T. you just have to go Settings > System updates and then check updates if there are download and install them and then you are good to go with the fixes.
