VivoBook X509 Review Design:
The Vivobook X509 is made out of plastic and has a metal finish on lid which looks cool. It is available in Slate Grey and Transparent Silver. It is also not lightweight though, it has a 1.9 kg weight which is pretty heavy for any casual laptop.
X509 has a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution display. It comes with the LED anti-glare panel. It offers 178-degree wide view angle where the bezels are only of 7mm covering the 82.5% screen-to-body ratio.
It comes with Tru2Life video technology which gives around 150% improvement in colours and contrast. However, the display has so many features but it lacks the casual viewing angles. It is just an average but for price it’s good. This we have found in this display test of VivoBook X509 Review.
VivoBook X509 Review Performance:
We got the Intel i7-8565U 8th gen processor variant. It comes with 8GB RAM and 512GB PCIe NVME SSD. This one is paired with the discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX230 2GB graphics for casual work such as photo editing, video editing and heavy Internet surfing. Whereas the other models come with the Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 which is the default option.
This laptop also has expansion capabilities such as it can be upgraded to 12 GB of RAM and you can also add 2.5 inches 1 TB HDD on the board. During the performance test of VivoBook X509 Review, we found that it can easily run games like Counter-Strike and you can even play PUBG but it was just normal. It was not that great as it goes on higher machines.
It is great for everything you do daily, you won’t feel hanged. In terms of audio output, It is surely great for this price segment. It is also certified from SonicMaster Premium testers.

VivoBook X509 Review: Keyboard, I/O Ports and more…
Asus VivoBook X509 has a full-sized chiclet keyboard. There is a dedicated number pad. There is a 1.4mm travel from one key to another. There is a gap around the arrow keys just to make sure you access them easily. Typing on this keyboard is more like any casual keyboard, there was no special feeling while typing on this. However the keys are tactile but the feedback from the keys is not great. I’d prefer the MacBook Air keys over these keys.
If we see the ports on both sides of the VivoBook X509 there is a 509 has a single 3.5mm audio combo jack, USB 3.1 Type-C, USB 3.0 Type-A, two USB 2.0 ports, microSD card slot and an HDMI 1.4 port.
VivoBook X509 has a dual-band Wifi and Bluetooth 4.2 support under the connectivity. The battery goes from 0 to 60 in just 50 minutes which is just great. Although the battery runs around five hours which is a design-time for any casual laptop.
VivoBook X509 Review Verdict:
The VivoBook X509 Review had many points but here I’ll wrap it with short points that you should keep in mind. It is a great machine but it is not light. Secondly, it is not as powerful as other VivoBooks in terms of design you have a 2019 design but I’dd still choose VivoBook 15 from 2018 which were more light. If you want to be updated surely go ahead. It is a good laptop under this price tag.
