Hardware And Performance: A14 Bionic VS Snapdragon 865 Plus
A14 Bionic is more Power-Efficient:
The new Apple A14 Bionic chip uses the new 5nm EUV fabrication from TSMC. This new fabrication provides 80% more logic density.
Talking about the fabrication of Snapdragon 865 Plus, it uses TSMC’s N7P fabrication. This is the second generation of 7nm fabrication that is the same process used in the Apple A13 Bionic Chip. But due to 5nm, the Apple A14 Bionic has a better Fabrication Process makes it more power-efficient.
A14 Bionic Performs Better than Snapdragon 865 Plus:
The Apple A14 Bionic chip is still using a Hexa-core CPU design. The combination of 2+4 type of distribution. This distribution includes 2 main performance cores, the other 4 are power-efficient cores that work for normal daily usages. With the turbo, the CPU can go up to 3.X GHz.
If you see Snapdragon 865 then there is a 1+3+4 cores distribution. They all have diff speeds of 2.84GHz, 2.42GHz, and 1.8GHz respectively. The Prime & Gold cores are based on Cortex-A76 whereas the Silver cores are simply based on Cortex-A55. However, in Snapdragon 865 Plus, the prime cores have been boosted to 3.09GHz.
But the case is here, iOS is well optimized for its Bionic chips which easily help the device to perform like a beast. The A14 Bionic can do 11.8 billion processes when needed whereas Snapdragon 865 Plus can go up to 10.3 billion transistors processes.
A14 Bionic VS Snapdragon 865 Plus Modem/Speeds/Connectivity:
The Snapdragon 865 Plus features an X55 5G modem that enables global 5G. Also, the 865 Plus can give desktop-quality gaming performance for gaming all thanks to the Snapdragon Elite Gaming premium features like updatable GPU drivers, ultra-smooth 5G gameplay at 144fps, and True 10-bit HDR gaming. For Apple A14 Bionic there is a new quad-core GPU which is 40% more powerful than the A13 bionic which means A14 Bionic has all power to perform for all kinds of games.
Both chipsets support WIFI-6 and speed up to 2-3GB which is just amazing for a smart device.
